Let's all take a moment of silence here. The proposed Gossip Girl spin-off is now officially OVER. That's right, it's over before it even began! Before they even aired the flashback episode featuring Brittany Snow as the young Lily (this Monday! Woo hoo!!!!), the show is dead in the water. Even Perez Hilton is reporting it, and as you all know, I take anything Perez says as gospel.Let's all bow our heads for a moment....

Aw, I'm kinda sad! But at the same time I think the spinoff would've ruined the show. This isn't Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place!
I do love Brittany Snow tho...
I was looking forward to the spinoff but this week's episode's flashbacks wasn't as interesting as the real gossip girl!
it's probably a smart move not to go that direction.
